Accessing Universal Energy

This Qigong class will be useful for beginners and intermediate levels of energy practitioners. What you will learn in this class is basically the simplest methods I have found in my ten (+) years of heavy study in energy healing. We are not learning about acupuncture meridians or chakras in this class. This class is about learning to access universal energy to tune in to your intuition and help others and more importantly, yourself. You will learn how to assess your clients’ energy blockages and ways to help correct those blockages. In addition, guess what, this energy is scientifically proven!

This class is open to anyone with an interest in learning energy work, It can be used by itself to help friends and family (and yourself) or in the clinic to tune in to your client’s energy patterns. If you already do some energy work but would like to be more confident in its use or possibly learn some different tools, then this class may be what you’re looking for.

Qigong Practice Group

 

This is a qigong practice group in which we will go in-depth to learn new meditations and structural movement sequences.  The structure of this class will include homework and access of videos to establish a deeper practice.  Below are some of the practices we will cover:

Introduction to 3 treasures

The 3 treasures in Chinese Medicine and Qigong are body-mind-spirit / posture-breath-intent / the lower-middle-upper dantian / Jing-Qi-Shen / instinct-emotion-intuition.  We will review all 3 in-depth beginning with our structure, alignment and biomechanics – How to sense and feel energy – And mindfulness and visualization

18 rules of posture

With this in-depth practice you will gain a better understanding of your structural alignment and begin to sense and feel both your structure in relation to gravity and your internal energy channels.  We will review the fascial lines, load bearing joints, and the meridians of the body.

Band Heating

Band heating is a structural sequence designed to be used prior to a TaiChi or Qigong practice to open through the joints and warm up the body.  It’s designed to lengthen the muscles and strengthen the tendons.

Wudong 8

This 20 minute movement and breathwork practice works along the 5 elements and 5 yin organ meridian systems.  It’s a strengthening meditation flow designed to tonify the 5 yin organ channels.

6 Healing Sounds and Man & the Moon

The six healing sounds is a popular qigong exercise designed to release emotional stress from the body.  We use sounds that correspond to the different yin organs to clear the tissues, release obstruction and stagnation and improve energy flow.  Man & the Moon is a shorter and more active version of the 6 healing sounds and is used as an emotional release when you don’t necessarily know which emotion or system needs to be cleared.

Point tapping and Qi Massage

Qi massage works along different meridian lines and channels to stimulate blood flow, bone growth, release stagnation and encourage a healthy movement of energy through the body.  We will also tap on specific acupressure points designed to boost the immune system, ground the energy, revitalize the body and clear emotion.

Daoist 5

Like the Wudong 8, the Daoist 5 is a physical practice that works with the 5 elements and 5 yin organ meridians.  It’s a choreographed flow to release tension in the body and stimulate qi flow through the channels

Microcosmic orbit

The microcosmic orbit is the small (micro) universe (cosmic) within each of us.  We will learn how to run and balance the energy in the fire cycle.  Once the energy is able to run up the governing and down the conception vessel fluidly we are able to dive into deeper practices.

Inner smile meditation

This meditation made famous by Montak Chia is truly an amazing visualization designed to lighten up the energy, bring health and function to the organs, and strengthen and tonify the energy.  This meditation directs the energy to the organs allowing the energy of gratitude to be felt in the body, mind and spirit

Daoist breathing

Daoist breathing – also called Qi Packing – is designed to energize and empower the body while also working the structure and strength of the core.  It can be beneficial for increasing energy in the body, mobilizing the ribcage, massaging the internal organs, and can be beneficial to reduce risk of incontinence and back pain.

Bone Marrow nei-gong

This very powerful advanced meditation and visualization strengthens and clears through your bones and bone marrow.  The bones produce red and white blood cells and hormones.  When you access the power and energy in the bones you access the Jing qi (your essence).  This practice have potential power in the bones – transform it into energy to circulate.

Life force breathing meditation / 8 direction perception meditation

This practice helps to bring awareness to your surroundings and how your body/energy is relating to them.

Iron shirt

Originally a martial arts practice, we will be using it to help develop body sensitivity and awareness. It helps us to become aware of and clear emotional and mental tensions in the body. The iron shirt helps to train fear out of the body, and train mental focus. The iron shirt also helps teach you how to direct energy throughout the body.

Joint inflating

A physical practice that shows you how to move primarily through expanding the joints. By learning to move by expanding joints you will also be opening up energy channels in the body allowing energy to flow more easily.

Awaken the sleeping dragon

Helps to open and dilate the energy channels while directing energy and enhancing your ability to sense energy in your body and your aura.

Yi Quan

Defined as intent boxing can be used as a very powerful health cultivating set of postures and movements designed to make you aware of mind-body movements and how when the mind intends movement the body is already in sync. Learning how to move with the 5 bows.

Da Cheng quan

Defined as great achievement boxing, these postures use sharper joint angles to build strength and conditioning in the tendons of the joints.

1-10 meditation

The 1-10 meditation is a powerful advanced meditation used for healers and medical qigong professionals to pull in the power of the earth and universe and shine it through the body and beyond

Chakra meditation

This is an introduction to the 7 chakras.  Where the dantians act like reservoirs, and the meridians like rivers transporting and distributing energy through the body, the chakras are like energy stations that transform the energy representing the way you express yourself and interact with the world.  They contain the energy from your life experiences and the energy you project out.  This chakra meditation helps you get in touch with the power you have to transform your inner and outer universe.
