Testing and Assessment Module | |
The assessing instructor will provide a list of everything that is covered prior to the class. It is information that was learned and reviewed in Modules 1-6.
This includes a written test on the Module 6 material only and hands-on demonstration of all procedures learned in Module 1-6, knowing where all the mandatory pauses are observed, will be assessed. It is highly recommended the student attend a Review Class before taking Module 7.
The Curriculum in Detail
The Bowenwork procedures are taught in six modules, each 16 classroom hours long. The modules must be taken in sequence because each one reviews and builds on what was taught previously. Each module is taught in two consecutive days. When only one module is taken at a time, at least one month must elapse between each module and the next. Two modules may be taken back to back; in such a case two months must elapse before taking the next two modules to provide time for practice and to develop an understanding of the power of the moves.
Module 7 is a two-day testing module, administered by an assessing instructor who was not your instructor in Modules 3-6. At least one month must elapse between Module 6 and Module 7.
The content of each module is standard in every country where BTAA-approved instructors teach. This means that you can travel and study with any combination of BTAA-approved instructors and be assured that you will have learned the same procedures as all of your classmates, regardless of their previous instructors.
Every module includes:
Demonstration of each procedure, with detailed explanation of anatomical landmarks Explanation and discussion of the procedures and indications for their use. The manuals include detailed notes, with photographs and anatomical diagrams Extensive supervised hands-on practice, with feedback from the instructor(s) Ample review of procedures taught in previous modules
